Minnesota Vacation Activities for the kids |

Kids can have fun while parents enjoy vacation
activities such as hiking, fishing, biking, or just relaxing
on your cabin deck with a cup of coffee and the newspaper.
Our vacation lodging rates include the children's program,
we offer a variety of activities such as a talent show, a
fishing clinic, scavenger hunt, ice cream social, pizza and
movie night. You may choose to participate in all or as few
of the activities as you wish. These vacation activities
last from 1 to 3 hours in the morning and afternoon and are
offered only to Lost Lake Lodge Resort guests. |

 Sunday
is a free day to explore, there is no planned program.
 On
Mondays we have Family Activity Day. We have a Scavenger Hunt in
the morning. Kids and parents can pick up a empty bag and scavenger
list at the front desk, when you have completed your hunt you turn
the contents in for a prize. In the afternoon we have an Ice Cream
Social and Bingo (more prizes).
The rest of the week Tuesday through Saturday we have supervised
activities ranging from:
Water Day is the day you learn how to cast and catch fish,
make paper turtles and race them and play hot potato with water
balloons.
Explorer Day you will take a walk to the Indian Burial Mounds
and learn more about Native American Indians.
Craft Day is exciting because you will walk our trails and
collect many twigs, branches, seeds, moss, etc. and create an art
project to display for all to see and enjoy.
Nature Day is the day to take the binoculars and nets and set
out on a search for butterflies, and bugs. You may also make a bird
feeder from pine cones.
 Talent
Show is the day to perform for the entire resort (if you want
to). Our counselor will practice with you and then in the afternoon
it is time to shine. Talents range from joke telling to tap dancing
and everything in-between.
Saturday is supervised Beach Burger Night. All kids 15 and under are invited to eat
a burger dinner on the beach and play beach games. This gives mom and dad a chance to have dinner by themselves
if they wish to do so.
Everyday of the week we have fun with our Medallion Hunt. We
offer clues 3 times a day (unless you only need 1 clue to find it).

the kids kamp kounselor will come over to your table and
explain to you and your parents what the topic is for the
day. |

There is plenty of time left for beach fun with your family and
then clean up time before dinner. After dinner there is a campfire,
marshmallow roasting and lots of stories.
Our program runs rain or shine from Memorial Day to Labor Day. We
use many tools like books, games, crafts, songs and stories to
enable kids to have a fun filled adventure while learning something
about nature. |
