Fall here at the Lodge was beautiful. Our
guests enjoyed the opportunity to be outside during the sunny days
and then warm up to a good cozy fire at night. The maintenance crew
was busy splitting wood, painting and adding new deck railings to
some of the cabins. The deer have had their fill of our Hosta
plants, the cabin windows are covered and the pontoons are in dry
dock which always means that the season has drawn to a close.
Now the lakes are starting to freeze over. Gull Lake has about 4-6
inches of ice, so when the kids are home on Christmas vacation they
will be able to ice skate. Doug and I would like to take this time
to wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
We are proud to announce that Bethany, our Guest Services Mgr., had
a baby girl on December 8th weighing in at 7# 14 oz. Her name is
Maeve Evelyn Elsie Rohr and both mom and baby are doing well. So,
Bethany will be ready to take care of all emails and reservations
with even more energy and enthusiasm.
