Hello,
Our 2006 season has begun! The fishing opener was a huge success
with Walleye Dan’s Guide Service leading our guests in the capture
of 86 walleye! Doug mentioned that it was the best fishing opener
Gull Lake has seen in a long time. The walleye was prepared that
evening for all our guests to enjoy with some fresh filets packaged
and taken home the next day.
The Bird and Gardening Weekend went great and once again you will
all be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor when you stay this
summer. Our guests spent Saturday planting geraniums, daisies, wave
petunias and other flowers to beautify our resort grounds, filled
bird feeders and took a leisure walk around Lost Lake identifying
our local birds. The loons are back and we are eagerly waiting for
the first egg sighting. If you would like to join us in 2007 for
this fun (you won’t get a blister) and casual weekend we are taking
reservations now.
Now with summer vacation fast approaching our
children’s program is ready to have a fun, adventurous, and
exciting time. We have added many new activities including fishing
and cooking lessons, new take-home arts and crafts, and some
friendly family vs. family contests. Our theme for this year is
“Family Fun!” We are also offering an additional supervised outdoor
dinner option for the children.
