As our summer season comes to a close, we would like
to take this opportunity to thank all of our summer 2005 guests..
you were the best! We have reunited with some old friends and have
met a lot of new ones. The weather was near perfect, the fishing was
good, and the food incredible, especially the pastries. Our deer
herd is returning this fall and enjoying, once again, our flowering
plants. The beaver are still chewing away on our trees and the loons
are making a lot of noise, it must be time to start gathering the
flock.
Many guests have enjoyed our daily medallion hunt, our Thursday Meet
and Greet, and our new kids Pizza and Movie night. These new
activities have created a chance for adults and kids to meet new
friends and make some lasting friendships.
We are seeing less families this time of year and more couples who
are celebrating their anniversary or the fact that their kids have
gone back to school. The air is cool at night and the fireplaces are
burning. It's a great place to relax in the fall.
Fall projects have begun, trail clearing, wood splitting, cabin
painting, etc. fill the weeks ahead. We will be saying goodbye to
our summer staff as they head back to college or back home to
Belarus, Germany, England and Poland. It's always difficult to have
seasonal staff leave Lost Lake Lodge, they become part of the family
here. Thanks to each one of you for a job well done!
If you have some vacation time left, give us a call, we still have
some openings in September. (NO BUGS)
